Yes I have successfully designed built amplifiers using these devices
and driven 2 ohm loads continously.
My nxV500 will drive 2 ohm loads on a short term basis using the toshiba devices on 80 volt rails @ 860 watts. if you drop the rail voltage down some what 2 ohm loads @ 500 watts could be realised with just four pairs of devices.
Your power supply however would need to be very stiff.
Regarding your last question, these mosfets are quite hard to get hold of in Australia at all.
I buy them in 100 unit trays from asia at reasonable prices.
If you want some I can supply them to you for $9.50 each.
