Good thing we can't vote in Dutch elections, else you'd be run by someone like Pim Fortuyn.

Don't think the American public would vote for an openly gay man! LOL....

If Pim Fortuyn was not gunned down ...he might just have run the country anyhow. I would not have minded. He was a breath of fresh democratic air. And not at all a racist as he was portrayed by local and foreing media.

Almost funny is that he is currently 2nd on the list of greatest Dutch persons ever!!! (TV programme just like the BBC did the UK)
Which is in my opinion a little far fetched...

Hardly, he shifts with the tides.
Well whatever the truth may be...That is the PERCEPTION here...

The PERCEPTION in the Netherlands basically is that Bush is the or a new Anti-Christ/Hitler/über moron... so basically anyone would have scored better than Bush...hell even Alfred E Neuman would have beaten Bush in a Dutch poll..especially on the intelligence bit.

hmmmmmm Bush or Kerry. Frankly, I don't see how raising taxes on people making $200k or better is going to help the US economy. Most people that make that much actually own small buisnesses. The US tax system:xeye: requires that these people file personal and buisness taxes together. All that a tax increase on these people will do is retard small buisness growth and stiffle the economic recovery now in process if John Kerry raises taxes on these people, or small buisnesses. BTW, unemployment is at or below what it was when Bill Clinton left office, despite the "dot.com" market crash, rising worldwide oil prices(mostly due to a huge increase in demand from China), a devestating terrorist attack on the world by the destruction of the world trade center, NY.

Doesn't anyone remember Slick Willy's war in Kosovo? Ethnic cleansing and genocide....human rights?? European instability? Well that is a noble thing to go to war for. Not putting that down at all, but if that is a case for war, then Saddam and his murdering cronies should have been cleaned out a while ago. Of course the impact that this would have had at the time when Saddams oil was flowing to many countries would have had potential to create an international economic disaster. Not so much now days with all of the UN sanctions. How many years, or decades is enough to determain that Saddam did not and never inteded to comply with the UN demands. If the US does not back up the threat of force with our military, then who else in the world is going to do it? or even can? I haven't heard any volunteers. The UN would quickly become another worthless organization with no power or athority. Dictators around the world would be thumbing there nose and laghing at it.

But just like the illegal drug market, firmer restriction just opens up back door deals such as apperantly been going on between Saddam and: Russia, Germany, France, just to name a few. HMMM interesting...

All this back door income kept Saddam and his crew in power to continue to rape women and childred, to tourture, bury orphaned children alive in mass graves, and so on.

So what is the election all about? It is for who will act in the best interest of THIS country. The oil supply for this country is in jepordy of being disrupted in the long term. As the government in Venezuela becomes even more currupt and socialistic, becoming more opposed to US policies, another source must be tapped. In order to be able to keep power over the oil market, a stable middle east is a must. Impossible with the thugs formerly known as the Baath party ruling Iraq with thier delusions of granger and world conquest.(At least the Arab world) Can you name a country since WWI that the US has invaded and taken over indefenatly? Usually, after half a century or so these independent countries are better off afterwards.

I really don't care for George W. Bush, however there is now way in Lucifers bed that I could vote for someone that has promised to allow the almighty United Nations:xeye: trump our foreign policies, whatever they may be. Sovereignty??? Why should I vote for someone who has occupied a US senate seat for TWO DECADES and has nothing to show for it. What legislation has John Kerry constructed or has any responsibility for that has benifited this country? If there is one, then why hasn't he mentioned it? 20 years and we see nothing. You don't like George Bush? Blame the democrats for not picking someone with at least some credentials to be presedent, and commander in chief.

No offence inteded but I am not concerned with the welfare of other countries, espeacially the ones that don't affect us economicly. A weaker America is not what I want to see.

I am irked by the fact that there is no other party canadate that has any publicity to get elected in this country without bowing down to speacial interest lobbying groups. Oh well, sometimes you just have to take what you can get.

Unemployment rate when Bill Clinton left office: 4.2%
Unemployment rate now: 5.4%

Unfortunately, your analysis of the unemployment rate is on a par with your analysis of the economy generally.

So why do you display a Belize flag?

BTW Harry Truman was a failed business man, tailor business..
He lost a haberdashery shop, (fine men's clothing-people used to dress better), during the Great Depression. Many well-run businesses went under during the period. Hey, that may be why they call it The Great Depression.

You might want to consider that the market for expensive men's clothes might shrink a bit when the entire country has an unemployment rate of 25%.

What similar economic upheaval was underway when Bush lost his investors' money on Harken?
