Hello I have a soundcard with a LME49720NA, a TI op amp which was discontinued in 2017. This card previously had manufacturer op-amp upgrade kits available for it but has since gone out of business.
I know the LME49720 is a respected op amp, but if I wanted to go higher quality could I upgrade to a better opamp and use a dual op amp configuration? Would I just order a mono to dual board from ebay or china and then buy op amps and install correctly? Can anyone recommend a better op-amp? How do I determine compatibility, is it just based off of minimum and maximum power thresholds?
Will a dual op amp increase sq, by being better with noise and thd?
