burnedfingers said:How much for 2) boards?
For Stereo kit: Kit Estéreo - R$170,00
For Dual Mono, 2 boards: Kit Dual Mono - R$210,00
I do not know what is R$
Is it brazilian dollars ???????
All prices are this page: http://www.nabucoeletronica.com.br/kits.html
R$ is Brazilian Reais, as for the prices.
The dual mono kit is approx. $131.65 and the stereo kit is $106.57 going by my currency conversion suing www.xe.com.
As for a translation here you go http://translate.google.com/transla...ca.com.br/kits.html&hl=en&ie=UTF8&sl=pt&tl=en
Brazil uses Portugese as it's national language so if you use Google Translate and choose portugese to english you should be able to translate most of the page.

Ewan

Thanks Ewan.
Here is the conversion.... Brazil money is Real
170,00 ...... 170 reais has the same value as 106 USD
Very expensive in my point of view..... to brazilian standards this is a good money.
95 percent of the population earn less than 300 USD each month... Russia was this same way some years ago.

Carlos

Poor brazilian people
Myself, I am spoiled living in a 'rich' european country.
But remember this, my audio friends:
money is not everything in life .. maybe not even the most important thing to have a good life quality
There are probably many more 'happy' persons that are low on money,
than there are 'happy' very rich millionaiers.
Anyway, if devoted to diyAudio & amplifiers, you will have to spend your money.
No doubt about it ...

WAY BETTER ALTERNATIVE
Hi... I think this are very expensive.
There are fellows in this forum that sell a lot better PCBs for gainclones and 4780 amplifiers for less money.
And much better professional PCB design and finish.
I have boards from BrianGT, Pavel Dudek and Peter Daniel.
Also, there are several brazilian companies that can make much better finished PCBs than these ones.
With a group buy, brazilian members can do more-for-less, its just a matter of interest.
I can help.
Just my two drops.
Best regards.

let me ask one question about this design.....
I noticed that this design use a lot more components that the one recommended from National.
For example Use Inductors, A lot of Resistors, a lot of Caps, Combination of Electrolitic and Ceramic Caps..... will this design sound better than the Simple one that are in the National Datasheets?
Another question, is recommended to use that V+ V- Input Fuses? :S

read the National datasheets again.
The simplified schematics omit many components that are referred to elsewhere in the literature.
Take care to test very thoroughly if you omit any of the decoupling and/or stability components.
Fuse the supply rails after the smoothing caps.
F2A for 8ohm speakers, F2.5A or F3A for 4ohm speakers.
