Will it unseat my ESS Heil AMT's as the king of tweeters?
They both go down pretty low (circa 600Hz) which is nice from a XO perspective.
What level of peak SPL can be achieved by a Neo 10/Neo 3 combo?
Can it do 115db crossed at 300/1800?
I dont think so. Planar drivers suffer from diaphragm deformation at high spl. Someone, somewhere meaaured it and posted measurements. I remember seeing it a few years ago...
I had some line sources using NEO 8's. I replaced them with Fountek ribbons and the magic of good high frequency performance came back. I recommend not using the 8's for high frequency reproduction.
Unfortunately the Founteks require a higher xover.
They DO sound sweet, no doubt.
