I work for a residential battery backup system company. I have been thinking about using LiFeO4 battery modules from our products to power amplifiers directly via the DC rails. The experts at the battery department tell me that BMS control is imperative for safety reasons first and foremost and charge management as well. The BMS is our own design but I think one can buy something off the shelf.
I'd have to agree with @theAnonymous1 regarding diysolar.
That said, I like Victron products generally. Most of my solar work is small systems powering control/surveillance gear and I mainly use their smart mppt charge controllers. The multiplus inverter chargers are nice too.
The nature of use means I'm buying batts with built in BMS units instead of building them so I'll wish you luck. Cheers
