Hi fellas - I just bought a BK sub woofer plate from the monolith plus 500w.
I have ordered the eminence driver and the MDF.
The dimensions of the sub are 540h x 420w x 560d
My question - the driver is set in the 420x560 dimension, but given my room set up I would much rather set it in the 560x540 dimension and have less sub projecting into the room.
So have it FF in the side rather than DF in the bass.
Is performance about the volume of the enclosure and port length, or are the dimensions key as well?
Many thanks for your thoughts on the matter.
Ps - I'm mainly aiming to use it as a beef up for my Full Range drivers, so question number 2-would having this as a sealed system alter it badly, other than the loss of volume?
Thanks again
