Bipolar Mirage combined with dipole bass/subwoofer

Hello. I have Mirage OM6 speakers and are pleased with the big bipolar/omnipolar soundstage. Now I have the chance to buy OM8 very cheap. I think they use same tweeters and midranges so I can use them a spares. But I got another idea; what about using the top,skipping bass module and using open baffle in bass instead? Would this be totaly wrong combining two different solutions? Bipole top with dipole bass?

You get a transition from bipole to dipole which can be quite hard to make work together.

More often seen as encloosed bass driver (omni) to a dipole mid/top.

Ok,I have heard dipole bass combined with regular monopole speakers. That sounded ok to me. But maybe there was something in the transition,maybe ther was🤔 I think that is very good with OM6, better than most speakers I have heard. But I have 4x 13" bass drivers that sounded good in open baffle. You see; I have a little room and dipole bass is room-friendly,no pressure. Thank you for reply😀👍

You should have no problem incorporating either for bass duty. The sealed would be simpler and they're already part of the speaker. Add the usual mode managing subs as required.

I think the answer comes down to where in the spectrum you cut it. Keep it below where the room dominates....

Yes,I will. My active crossover has 110Hz 24db LR The crossover in the Mirage OM6 is 80Hz
