So how many of you have dreamed of owning big knobs
Is anyone interested in a 2.5" version of the pictured knobs?
They would be $6.50 ea if we could get 250 of them

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
Peter,
You didn't know that those are "soft touch" rings
They are rubber, but I'm sure that we could eliminate them.
Kilo International
They have other models. I just wanted to get a target price.

Of Course!
Peter Daniel said:I know how good quality knobs look. It is quite tricky to make them, unless a place specializes in such work. You know that, of course?
I won't dignify that remark with a response.

But I will. We've been offered knobs before and they were far from the quality required. Here's a sample.Coulomb said:

I have had knobs done on few occasions as well, but they never looked like a real deal. It requires almost watchmaker precision to cut it really nicely and I've been dealing recently with polishing and anodising places and I know how often a nice machine job can be damaged by improper handling or wrong anodising procces. I was buying knobs from Sonic Frontieers because of stains and discoloration. You are also aware that you need a mounting hole with a screw insert. If you want a proffesional job on knobs you have to go to a place that specialises in that. Too bad that most ready made knobs, looks like crap or match only instrumental equipment. The times of good knobs are gone.
PS: Except for the gold ones I posted earlier I don't have a place to buy knobs. Those were surplus, from Classe and SF. The one below is from Pioneer.

Humm Solid Brass eh? I think I will buy some stock and try machining a few 2" diameter knobs by 1.5" thick. I can clear anodize them and Presto, no need to gold chromate them.
