I'll have a look into the BC caps and experiement a bit with the panasonic FC and FM (different values).
As a decoupling cap I normally use the obbligato as I very much like the sound of this cap. However, they don't have caps above 70 uF. Would it be possible to use a 70uF obbligato film cap instead of a 100uF BG N, or is 100uF the "lower" limit?
Have any of you experimented with bypass caps, fancy filmcaps etc?
Thanks for all the answers!

Go to www.percyaudio.com they sell Black gate N 100uf 50V for USD 12.00/each

I did, and I almost always preferred a single cap, no additional bypasses.
BG. A high price which convinces you "well they must be good."
So, suppose we use a cheap cap with a little inductance and some ESR.
The amplifier starts to take current so the cap is called on to deliver current.
Which it does. The series resistance and inductance on the cap causes a small volts drop across them. This noise gets into the amplifier. So BG proved to be good ?
Surely it depends on just how big this noise is and also the amplifier circuitry ?
CCS will get rid of noise. Feedback will get rid of noise too.
At audio frequencies the cheap caps will work pretty well anyway.
I just use cheap caps in my amps and do they sound terrible ? Well actually not in the slightest.
