What are your goals for SPL, low cutoff, power applied, size of cabinet, number of cabinets, where will they be used?
I agree completely. Stating driver size and power handling is the backwards way of designing a sound system. It should be the other way around:
1. what are the sound requirements
2. what is the most effective way of getting there
Goals are as such
1.SPL high as possible with some sound quality i don't want a one note wonder
2.low cutoff used for playing pop rap music so ?? 40hz
3. power applied 1100 watts rms 4ohm load amp
4. size of cabinet - 5.9 cubic feet roughly.. this is relation to my TH box posting from yesterday.. box would be 58"x10"x18"
5. number of cabinets - 1
6. where will they be used? my wakeboad boat.
Also if you look at my post from yesterday the last comment and design is showing the TH with a side exiting port.. I have not built a TH before does a side exiting port work? Hope this info helps.
