Beethoven/von Karajan/Deutsche Grammophon is quite another world on vinyl! von Karajan always has been a freak in recording technique and sound quality, and DG was known for excellent pressings.
I have a DG vinyl collection of all nine Beethoven symphonies in a box with HvK and the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra and I love it!
Best regards!

Is your vinyl Big Tulips or later issue?

Sorry for late reply. Among vinyl afficionados, earlier DG LPs are called "big tulips" because of larger size decorative tulips on the label. Later DG issues (70s and on) had small size tulips. "Big tulips" are valued among collector's because they were produced using tube equipment and minimal down-mixing, if any.
