Balanced line driver (SE to Bal) board suggestions?

Hi

I need to convert a few SE sources to balanced. I have seen quite a few boards on AE featuring the DRV134 and similar. Some require DC and others differential AC with various levels of filtering etc. I could not find any discussion or reviews on diyaudio.

Can anyone suggest one of these affordable boards or link to a discussion I may have missed?

If you duplicate the output impedance of the hot with an equivalent value resistor to ground in the cold this will give a balanced output albeit the cold will not be a driven cold .

However I have a few sources and would like to convert them all with fbsric board. Power supply etc.
This questions seems to have been asked a few times but doesn’t look like many people have used a generic board.

@JonesySA - Kevin Gilmore did the UBALTOBAL board which eventually became the Dynalo head phone amp. It looks like this:



There is also a tube version with 6922. I can give you the gerbers for both if you wish. Also, I have matched MPSWs for the SS version above if you wanted.

Rod also offers a PCB for his project 176, that’s more to do-i-y than a box from AE, possibly better and more versatile. Costs a little more as well.

I use the balancing boards from Sjostrom Audio to connect my phono preamp to an otherwise fully balanced system. You could also use a Cinemag transformer.
