Baffle Construction Techniques

even though it has no effect, one could imagine a design away from the medowlark design - a design with a sloped baffle. If one on the other hand imagines a design with a vertical baffle would this help to give time-alignment if the mid/bass where just flush mounted on the baffle?? or is this way too little to give time alignment?

The shallow conical horn gives a slight level increase at the lower frequency range of the tweeter. That can easily be compensated for in the xover and it might help time align the tweeter (though it looks pretty shallow) and it does protect the dome from damage. I put a full radius from the dome's mounting plate to my baffle to allow me to stretch cloth tightly across the baffle surface and corrected the response in my xover.
