I'm wondering if the RH807 has enough driver gain to use it as a stand-alone (integrated) amp. Checking the schematics both rh84 and rh807 omit a volume control although (apart from the loss of gain through the feedback loop which I've got no idea about how to calculate) driver voltage swing seems more than enough to drive the output tube. Quick reference for 807 gives about (I plan to run them on higher plate voltage) 30V peak-peak requirement for the driver, ecc81 should provide about 60V IIRC.

Mine would work nicely as an integrated amp.
Care to say why. It worked for me without issue - but I do run Linux.
