while everybody is screaming about star ground and you see designers working even on passive xovers that have star ground while symmetric designs on pcb of pre and amplifiers have star ground as a rule seen a few that work the totally other way around

the GRANDSON for example takes the ground for the ltp from the non isolated RCA connectors of the input ...replace them with isolated input stage goes out of balance with no ground DC ofset in the output

working with 321 luxman last night found out that symmetrics is there as about the design of the pcb main caps in the center all grounds return to the midpoint between caps except the LTP/Feedbak return that returns to the ground through the preamplifier and front board..

Result was the a loose connector in the preamp almost blow the all amplifier and beyond that its impossible to repair the amp if all the supportive cables of the pre are connectet ...

seen other working like that .... can any have any opinion on this ?

Kind regards sakis
