AmyAlice SLIM - SMPS filter

Hi. Starting a thread with Marks blessing and several forum members inquiries about slimmed down version of AmyAlice brilliant smps filter. Size is 6.5cmx2.8cm

To start off, everything is the same as on OG AmyAlice BOM and schematic (with addition of power on led, doesn't influence the circuit in the least, just adds visual). Size is slimmed down to my personal preference due to me utilizing quite small cases for most of my projects, and slim pcbs always find a way to fit in. There is also a factor of my OCD for aesthetics, so i make stuff that looks good to my eye.

Version 1 is now v1.01 as i increased pad sizes for much easier hand soldering. I usually use hotplate, but since it's a public release, it will definitely help out whoever decides to buils it (you can see on 3d rendering component sizes and increased pad sizes). Device is tested (included photos of V1 with regular pad sizes, hand soldered to test) working as intended. There will be even smaller, slimmer versions in the future, topic will be updated accordingly.

UltraSlim V1, posted at Post #5
Size 58x14mm.

New version, ultra slim , just 58x14mm. It's the limit of what it can be boiled down to. There is no free candy, so capacitor height is what determines this version. It is around 1cm more in height due to caps. You can fit this pretty much anywhere if height of the enclose is 3cm or more (which is about 99% cases of enclosures you would use this in). Pads have increased size for ease of hand soldering, but led is slimmed down to 0603, only for experienced soldering users (not necessary for functionality, only a pilot light so you can easily skip). Enjoy.

@Brijac I'm trying to get these made through JLPCB and the attached image is an email I received from them. Not sure I completely understand the revision they want to make. I told them they're supposed to be half circles, but to modify them however they see fit.

This is my first time using their service. $5.40 for 10 boards shipped, so not too worried if they don't turn out right.

Edit: Never mind, I'm an idiot and didn't click the option for castellated holes.

Hi. Just tell them to make them as they are in the file, without metalized edges then. They contacted me as well, told them and the same and didn't have an issue. I'll make a gerber version without metalized edges, that will count as outline without them having to contact i guess.
