All i see is a single 12 volt rail, and a ground.

TDA7297
After a while since my last post, this is what I have brewing at home lately… as before low wattage chipamps on a BTL configuration say 10 /15 W this time TDA7297 from STM for which I have made 2 slightly different PCB’s for a cleaner testing rig and planning for a third incarnation to include small implementation details that have been rising during testing. Also did another PCB for the supply almost identical as before on a CLC configuration which gives around 13.7V loaded.

The big question in all this, is how much better even a very basic piece of electronics can get, without radically altering its fundamental makeup? All my experimenting has demonstrated, providing you know exactly what you're aiming for, results vastly more impressive than most would expect - most certainly, highly satisfying sound can be achieved, usually far superior to the majority of "high end" audio setups ...

Yes it does, I’m up to the third generation with optimization details on the pcb and all in a box now and since it is a PC setup I have no input pot there.
Soundwise is good but not what I expected maybe the 1553 will bring the air at HF I’m longing for. Still pending is a working setup with the 1553.

Lack of air at HF is often an interference artifact - have you done experiments where you shut off everything electrical near the unit, to give it clear air to breath in, so to speak - see if that makes a difference ... ?
Did check on that, but there is no change soundwise. Will see if other chips are better on this regard, still thinking on the 1553 could be the ansewer.
over 3 watt output at 8ohm load, according to the datasheet,
the 7297 does not behave nicely , specialy as freq. increases.
Which would be your take for an all-around chip which provides a good HF behavior?
Yes, it seems that the 7297 wasn’t a good pick.

TDA7293 was a very good performer, not the typical 5 minute chipamp

Sorry my fault, should have been more specific with my question just wanting to drive my flimsy 4 or 8 Ohm spikas on the 2 to 3” dia as Fullranger close field arrangement. If single supply is possible better still.

tda2052 is allso good up to 15 watts,
single supply ones.. well, i think it can be built for single supply.

depending on Your power needs, maybe some paralelled opamps could do the trick too,
but i would not shoot for that.
lm1875 comes to mind too,
and a class-H tda chip, but that would be rare to find, and darn expensive...
most probably if low power stuff is all You want, then You could try to force an opamp into class A with Jfet cascode, and add some more capable power stage, but that would not be a real chip amp
