Guys,
I have a query ,hope this may help people who plan to drive tiny speakers with power amplifier.
I want to drive 4" speakers with impedence 4ohm and 20wattage rating by an power amplifer of 200w rms into 4ohm.
How many tiny speakers(above mention ratings) should I connect in series/parallel to attain an optimum results from the amplifier?.
My assumption if we connect 2 set of speakers( connected in series) connected in parallel ,the complete set i.e 4 speakes rating becomes 80watts into 4 ohms.
Please correct me if this is wrong.

Hi Cal Weldon,
Thanks for posting the reply.
Infact I do not own both.
But, I am working on a 240watts power amp into 4ohm project.
The main design of the amp is to drive the speech at the best possible.
since the tiny speakers are good for mids and highs(I suppose) I want to drive tiny speakers with my amp.
Yes, I accept huge speakers are readily available to my maching watt ratings ,but they are prone to lows.
suggestions welcomed

Hi,
Then I'd say a line array will be your best option, 9 or 16 drivers.

Hi,
Column speakers have been around for years, a vertical stack of
identical drivers. Generally used in reverberant enviroments, e.g.
a railway station to improve vocal clarity of announcements etc.
http://www.pispeakers.com/ssdm_99.pdf should help somewhat.
