anyone see a problem with using a 220-110 stepdown xformer for a aleph p 1.7 as power input. should be 60vac give or take.
i cant think of any but....could be wrong.

if you're going to use it with 220 primary at 110 mains voltage - then you're good - it will give ~55Vac at secondary ;
but - be sure that you have proper transformer , not just plain autoformer
considering smallish size of it , and 500VA claim , I bet - it's plain autoformer ....... so it don't have usual galvanically isolated primary and secondary
in that case - it isn't good for your needs
