Aikido CF question

I have never used LED bias. I have never built an Aikido, CF or otherwise.

Its quite interesting,

I have tried LED bias quite a few times..I never stick with it..so I guess its not for me..however I like to give things a try..

Your background builds seem to hold you in good stead!

LED bias simply doesn't make sense in the Aikido CF. An unbypassed bias resistor is what you want, to ensure the highest-impedance load for the CF.

Its obvious after the trial you are correct..

However the journey was worth the learning curve..curiosity got the better of me..the bias points were also worth the trial, the adjustable Maida made it easier..

I am still unclear whether you used an LED to bias an active load or not. However, for the benefit of any newbies reading this, the unbypassed cathode resistor in an active load does not just provide bias - it also provides local degeneration which boosts the impedance of the circuit. It must not be bypassed or replaced by an LED.
