CC resistors improve nothing , quite the contrary, and good caps never hurt, *might* improve things a little, but since the PT2399 is quite muddy, doubt you will hear any improvement.
Yeah, all my music gear is analog except a cheap vox/korg modeling multi effects, i think if can be bothered using anything digital these days it may as well just be computer multi process box.
