Infact in the article, author says that is difficult to do a correlation between kohm mismatch and ear perception.
Note that the scale is in linear mode and volume pots are...log mode.
Ok, alpha pots are not so good compared to alps, but it's only in this example, it' s not an average over 1000 of a kind.
It will not be an exhaustive test, but more significant that a single pot measured.

I agree. The quoted 'test' seemed to involve only one example of each brand of potentiometer. It wasn't even stated whether the pots were new or used. This would not pass in a Grade7 Science Fair project, so I don't think it proves much. More time collecting data and less on the fancy graphs would have been a good idea.
