A supercomputer with a snake pit of wires

We've all seen audio amps with a rats nest of wires. How about a 35 year old supercomputer with a snake pit. I have no idea how anyone could possibly troubleshoot it.

Funny...I was just at the science museum in London (near Hyde Park) and looked the Cray on display there and made the exact comment to my daughter. Wouldn't want debug one of those in production.

Back in th 80's I worked at a radio telescope and we used a Gould SEL 32 as our main data analysis machine. It's processor was a discrete design that was all point to point wire wrapped (by machine) with a single colour of wire-wrap wire. It too would have been a nightmare to work on...:eek:
