Thanks abraxalito. My modelling shows the resistor reduces peak current flow and prolongs the duration of the current pulse on each cycle. I haven't been able to model the rate of change of current, but I would expect that to be lower as well, resulting in lower emissions. Is there a flaw in my reasoning?
