Hi. I have an old guitar amp that uses 7189a.
I have bought russian two 6p14p-ev tubes that Can take the higher plate voltage, like the 7189a's can
But it seems the 7189a tubes have a different pinout than Your regular el84-kinda-tube
How Can i rewire the sockets to make my 6p14p-ev tubes work?

Remove any wires from pin 1 and put on pin 2 (control grid).
Remove any wires from pin 6 and put on pin 9 (screen grid).
If there are no wires on pin 1 and 6 you're good to go.
When rewired amp still will take both kinds of tubes.
