Webserver crashed, the day before Christmas. Historically, this usually happens on Christmas day itself. I am sure that it can actually smell Christmas lunch, gets jealous, and self-terminates in a fit of rage.
Downtime of about 45 minutes, resolved after receiving notification emails. Speaking to our managed host to find out why they didn't step in to resolve this before I did.

Have been advised that the hosting company had been alerted and they were "onto it" but due to Christmas staffing issues resolution was "queued", so all good there and no actual procedural issues. I still had my US number set from the last time I left the country, have updated that too
