Is this claim still true 17 years after this thread began and over 40 years after the TDA was created?
The topic by the creator seems focused on "building the ultimate NOS DAC" as the primary object, using the TDA as the means to achieve that objective. So building grey code devices doesn't necessarily appear off topic from what seems the primary object in creating an ultimate NOS DAC. its perfectly fine by me.
I don't mind either. Thread is large enough that you cannot read from start to finish, and search function is there. A kind soul could search and find reliable and well tested schematics, tips, tricks in form of post links and open up a thread just for tda1541a. There have been numerous information in this thread which are incomplete and half baked. Fabrice was following certain ones which in the end simply didn't work as an example of what i speak of.

The fact that some have decided to slightly "polute" the thread should not (in my view) be permission for a wholesale thread highjacking, and a regression to chat on "anything what so ever" to do with DACs. True they (DAC's) and can all be compared on some level or other, but so could dog food and Poulet de Bresse, though I know what one I'd rather eat.
This thread has had input from some of the worlds greatest experts on the TDA1541, please lets keep it focused, the more these people input, the more we all learn, and stand to gain. This is reference stuff on the TDA1541 chip as far as I can see.

I don't see the idea progressing further in this discussion. It was mentioned, explained what it was. It can be peogressed in another topic if like, i don't see this polluting the thread in any way. If nothing else, speaking of polluting has polluted it more 🤣
On the topic of tda1541a, Thor has introduced an interesting schematic to the mix. I don't mind speaking of that for a bit, as i'm interested to start making something with tda1541a at the start of the next year. Digital part is whats not my forte, i'm still learning of the matter.

Sure but the problem with this argument is that using the TDA1541A for OS is equally worthy of being invited to leave the thread.
you're simply not the starter of the thread. If he was bored, he let us know. It is not to you to say what deserve this thread or not. You noised the thread with measurements many do not care as if you were alone and had no critics. It will be fair you have the same attitude when you read something you do not care. You said perhaps more than twelwe times what is off topic or not and dictate somebody else behaviors. It is not your prerogativ. You land here, what ? 14 years after most of the readers and posters v$and give behavior lessons. Uh !
