Are you sure about that? The picture you posted shows three output terminals (positive, ground and negative), which would suggest the +/- version. Also, the single-output version has a different model number, "SMPS300RS" - the "S" is added to differentiate single-output.

Are you the original owner? 28V is a custom voltage if you buy directly from Connex, but HiFiMeDIY sells pre-made 28V versions.

Yes, I am the original owner. When I bought the SMPS single output 28v from HifimeDIY, I check voltage OK @ 28v, been using it @ 30v single out put no problem. Never tested the negative output.
