Europe Audio - dreadful experience

I too have to stand in line with other dissatisfied costumers.
My experience is mixed good and bad.
Communications with Jean Benoist is non-existing.
I ordered parts for a pair of Finalists (Holtz & Campbell) even though two of the parts were in backorder.
I guess Jean delayed the shipping hoping to get the two items in the same shipment. But after some time he decided to ship what he had on hand.
That was a good choice. Thanks Jean.

But the in-stock time for the two remaining items keeps changing. Thats bad.

Furthermore I realized that the two woofers was wrong. I needed 2 x Dayton 225-8 but got 2 x 225-4. I dont cre whose fault it was. I just want to get the right one.
I tried to email Jean 3 times asking to make a return, but have got no reply so far. Thats bad too.

I hope he will follow the suggestions on good practice made in this thread - especially the one about communication.
And I really dont understand the logic of communicating via PM on a forum rather than the official business mail.

I paid by bank transfer because Visa and Pay-Pal had a horrible 10-20% fee!? :O
Maybe to force people to use bank transfer?

I knew that Paypal had fee but Visa also ?

FIY with Visa you can ask your bank to do a reverse payment in case of problem. I've used this once with a french web site.

Concerning Europe Audio/Loudspeakerfreaks i must say that I've ordered four or five times without problems, but all item were in stock ...

Best regards,

Hi Pascal.

Im not sure whether the fee is actually applied by Visa/PP or by Jean Bernoist himself.

Yes the bank can make a reverse payment when VISA is used.
Its a bit more tricky with a direct bank transfer. There's not much the bank can do if the receiver isn't playing along.

Im glad you did business without hassles.

Hi all,

my experiences with loudspeakerfreaks.com are very bad as well: in May/2016 I ordered some dayton chassis. Two of them got delivered timely, but the others haven't delivered until now. I tried to call them, but nobody picked the phone. I wrote endless emails but got no reply at all. The problem is that I had to tranfer the money in advance ...

Hello

my experience with loudspeakerfreaks / europe-audio is horrible.
I asked more than a month for 2 subwoofers Dayton Ultimax, and still do not receive anything. I've written dozens of emails, and only received a reply from an email to give me a false date of delivery.
Also, they put false estimated delivery time to time and units expected to receive as a 'hook' to get people to buy dates.
Are still very active marketing to attract new customers, appear to be. But they must all be very angry.

I pay with credit card MasterCard. What possibilities I have?
Where I can denounce these practices effectively?

Thank you

I ordered a measurement mic from Loudspeakers Freaks, and the delay is abnormally long.
I ordered it back to 2016/08/04 and as today (2016/09/16) it is still in pending state.

I emailed them multiple times, and i got no answer about the status of this order.

Two days ago i sent an email to all the email addresses they expose to public, making it clear i would spread the word if i got no answer with 48 hours.

And of course i got no answer.

DON'T ORDER FROM THIS WEBSITE or EXPECT VERY LONG DELAY AND NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT.

1) contact mastercard immediately, and at once if not sooner.
2) I don't know. This forum doesn't seem to be enough to put this scum out of business. It is very difficult in this world where the criminal seems to have more 'Rights' than the victim.

Complain to your card company of you have a legitimate complaint and give them some proof (eg screenshots/emails) so they have something to go on. They take the money back from the merchant to refund you.

After enough 'charge-backs' occur, the company which processes the vendors card billings will kick them out.

So he claims in June 2016, that he had everything squared away
and fixed the processes etc.

Frankly he is quite full of Scheisse!

My recent experience demonstrates NOTHING has changed.

My original order went from 2 - 3 days after payment
to other delays. Then two weeks. Then some drivers were ready
and others were not. Then back ordered. Then something else.

Multiple emails were ignored - infact none have ever been answered.

To anyone thinking of using them, find a local or a source that you can
call and find them in stock.

There is a reason they changed their name to Loudspeakerfreaks
from Europe Audio. Either way we the DIYers have to put up
with their crap. : (

Cheers,

Sync

Can confirm my experience with Loudspeakerfreaks in August was not much better than anyone else.
Did not check on them and just bought quite expensive stuff - new beryllium scans and couple other drivers. Then got a fright that I was scammed for the money at some point as it kept delaying.. but got the stuff delivered eventually

Good:
Price was considerably better than Madisound
Ordered drivers arrived in the end.. :)

Bad:
It took over a month despite indicated 7-10days at the time of order placement.
I had to send multiple complaints/follow ups which remained ignored.
No communication, follow up, explanation whilst status of material keep going from scheduled delivery dates to delivery upcoming

Would I use them again.. Probably only for smith which shows in stock. And would be raising huge alarms if it doesn't ship immediately.
Is it worth the risk and trouble? Tough justification, but maybe worth benefit of the doubt.. Or not..
