The food thread

Tonight, in no particular order, as we are still a few hours from dinner time and I'm looking to have a nice big glass of something rum inspired beforehand, we have:
Onion maple soup with snap peas and beans
Jellyfish and cucumber salad
Smoked Sockeye
Pickled pork tongue
Carpaccio
Portabellas (to be grilled)

The Emperor's Dim Sum !
 
Beginning of the week, some ovenroasted veggies with a kind of italian dressing and spareribs, also done in the oven.
Ribs very good, veggies not so tasteful, i have to modify the recipe for the dressing, the recommendations from this cooking news paper are nothing for people liking taste .

2 days late night dinner, some shrimps tempura style, but made with a beer doug, hot thai sauce and a *morning glory*, both dishes are some of my real favorites and this time i was 100% happy with result, texture , taste, balancing , temperatur, everything like it should be.:D
