There's a new MathCad called "MathCad Prime" here. Is it compatible with your older files?

Don't know, but the point is that the speaker design software is no longer available. MathCad 2k Pro is what I use and probably pretty cheap by now. WRT the demo 8 version MJK use to have on his site, it can still be found AFAIK; though it won't allow you to save your work, but it allows one to convert it to a WORD doc.

Hi recently i finished my speakers with this drivers.
The design is a folded TABAQ

Using your previous speaker dims and keeping the driver at 7.5 cm, a 2.4 cm diameter vent down ~70.1 cm yields an acceptable response with somewhat more bass at the expense of some mid-bass, but still a better overall alignment in general and especially if it can be near a wall or corner.

as promised here is a sweep test of the speaker. I've been listening for hours now and the treble is becoming annoying. so first thought was to build a speaker cabinet for the 5" but that would be to big. now I'm thinking about adding a woofer and a crossover filter or pushing it as it is now with a linkwitz filter. or maybe I should add a separate woofer... still not sure. anyway see the attachment for the result. anyhow I think the results are still stunning considering the size of the cabinet and the size of the speaker. cheers.

Yes. I can open up my old Mcad 6.0 files with it. However the interface has really changed. I stopped using it for speaker design and switched to AkAbak. So much better as it was made for speaker design. If you can write Mcad scripts you can write AkAbak scripts.
 
I've been playing with these drivers in an OB lately and a "Sub" and was not satisfied because of a typical cone breakup around 8/9KHz... until I applied some damping on the cone itself.
I won't mess with notch filters etc. but I have a BSC in place.
The breakup cleared, I was still not completely happy with the sound. Then I applied little bits of BlueTak putty damping on the edge of the Whizzer itself yesterday... and suddenly music.
I've read that any sharp transition (like the edge of the Whizzer?) will create diffraction, may be this added mass is reducing/dithering HF diffraction at the edge of the Whizzer or it is the damping of the edge of the Whizzer that is performing its job of reducing distortion, am not sure. In any case, I will continue to play with more/less damping around the Edge to see what it does to the sound. I've done some measurement to make sure it's not all in my head. Seems to be an endless chase... but fun and sometimes frustrating.

I've paid around 50$ with shippin on Aliexpress for 1 driver. I am tempted to buy another pair just to put in a more conventional "box".
