Measured voltage at gates with fets out - i may have board problem

On j28 side I get 8V approx from either the +15V or Gnd
On k82 I get approx 8v from -15V point and mV from GND

On the board where I got 10 mV offset and 1.25A I get, with Fets in,approx 8V from either GND or +/-15V

So I think my problem lies in the k side. (but what do I know)
only thing i see there is 220 cap and jensen - will explore transformer for continuity

Thanks all

First Watt site news mmmm !

The limited sampling of 2SK182ES I've tested hasn't impressed me thus far as a very good non-feedback audio amplifier, unless perhaps you intend to use them with really high voltages, which I haven't tried.

I didn't buy them from the above source. You may want to check with soundhappy.

The 2SK180 (I bought mine from Sun-Pec) is yielding better results so far. Just my $.02

I know. Sometimes, it's just easier for me to agree and move on.

Things improve at higher current (>5A) or higher voltage (>2-300V) But the fact is they didn't do well in the dumb little lightbulb amp I built to try them out.

(which was the context for my comments in the first place)

I'm sure that others have found wonderful applications for them, and I look forward to someone telling me all about how they did it.

I wanted to point out the 2sk182es is a 500W device. There is another device the 2sk182 that's a 1000W device and looks nothing like the 2sk182es. The 2sk182 is a flat round device that needs to be sandwitched between 2 heatsinks. And I think it comes with an input capacitence about 3 times what the 2sk182 has.
