Sound Quality Vs. Measurements

Thanks Dan. I was doing some work and fighting off a cold. And I am feeling so lazy.

A friend asked my opinion on Nudism. This is the answer he got. The last point seems to apply to Audio. Please withdraw all of the conflicts of the religion of Darwin and what I will call the religion of Hawkings. BTW, I never claim to have original thoughts. What I do try to do it remember where I heard it first.

"It's too cold mostly. Here is something for you to ponder. Man is an animal that under no circumstances can be part of a standard evolution model. Horses and all other mammals are born protected. A horse can walk withing a short period of time and need not visit his/her tailor. Where Man supposedly grew up the environment would be very demanding except for heat. If a gambling man I wouldn't take the bet. Man is like a perpetual motion concept that people will go out of their way to believe. Like Hawking's Big Bang I have to say the lazy version is easier to understand. Humans were bred as a viable group before being let loose to discover oil ( that's a data compressed version of > 6000 years ). It's slightly easier to understand. Not 2 people as the DNA says not true. Scientists say the start of light was about 560 million years after year zero. They seem contemptuous of the previous 450 million estimate. This gives the master alchemist 6 x 560 000 000 years before taking a rest if day one was 560 M years. All very interesting. I don't totally respect either point of view on this. Hawking was so very very lazy to say Big Bang. Well done him. The Elephants in the room should be noted.

One thing the Bible might be telling correctly is when Humans learned to think as we do today. If not the world would have remained as Africa still would be. Again a perpetual motion event happened. I would be happy to think a DNA change happened about 6000 years ago. However the men of 30 000 years ago were great artists. Certainly a latent ability. It is just possible that talking started later than we think? "

Ivor Tiefenbrun's Elephant was " Feed rubbish in, get rubbish out ". I have spent the last 30 years getting rubbish to work. It can be done without loosing the ability to show off great recordings. It is very very very hard. Ivor's poster was good enough to state it's source. Please forgive this piece of rubbish. Copy and paste hey ?

Nah.
You just need to look from a different angle.....understand that materials impart characteristic signatures/flavours if you will.
Harmonic distortion is not the arbiter, other factors are the *rse biters ;).

It would take more than a GP Dan. Mostly it is that in all sceinces you have two + religions set in battle. The truth like Elephants in the room. I rather like quatum mechanics. It allows the most silly ideas to shine because when chalenged it seems true. One of the daftest ideas is a photon moving energy when having zero mass. That then gets qualifed ( at rest ? etc ).

It is a simple question. How can a human from whatever prototype stage form a viable familly? It asks we beleive humans are like perpetual motion. Think prototype family and numbers of genes required for a viable 7 billion as now. To a lessor extent the other animals also. A designer or inventor will see this. If someone said like a Quantum Paradox that it could be explained but not by" now sceince " I would be happy with that. The sceintific explanation of the willfullness of chemistry put as simply as I can. I am perfectly happy with standard evolution ideas. Except the system is a loop with a part missing. Darwin " stole " the idea from his relation Erasmas. Other curious things. We came last on the planet ? Grass and bees also were late arrivals. Einstein was very rightly worried about bees.

I still hardly understood a word/paragraph.
Nige mate, slow down, there is no need to rush, perhaps you should proof read what you put down and reorder/edit what you are trying to say.
I read your posts over several times and still have trouble understanding what you are expressing....it makes for hard work.
Some of your posts are very detailed, expressive and linear, others are staccato like a machine gun and scattered.
I do very much value reading of your experiences/observations/experiments, just that sometimes your posts don't make sense without some elaborations or explanations.
It is with respect that I say this, like a brother or best friend ;).

MOSFEToral Beejaytitis.

NIge is having you on Dan, he's been in the pub for a few days on cider, no switching distortion, strictly pure calss A. :D
So this is what you mean...

Obviously Einstein was less worried by Elephants then.

Back from the pub.

I tried the soft box at the back of the OB speakers. To be as lazy as possible these were the cheapest rubbish bags form the supermarket. The ones small ladies can wear as a dress ( yes please ). They cost $1.35 / 40. The plastic is a bit stiff compared with high grade types and very thin. They look like a wind sock out of the back of the speaker. The big surprise is that they do anything. The bigger surprise is mostly good things. If you think about it the Q changes and the enegy levels stay the same. Where I suspect it scores is the back of the cone is stiff and regular. This is the worst possible thing. The bag is more chaotic. It will not reflect energy as evenly as a stiff box. It is less complicated than a port or transmission-line. As far as I could hear the OB qualities are unchanged. The colouration seems different. I supect this is mostly that I have more bass. When younger I might have been dissapointed by this. It is a curious change which cautiously put is better. The beauty is any can try this quickly and should like myself find it curious. The stage after this is a better bag. This bag can vibrate if the bass is right. That is a shock as it seems impossible. This mod took me 10 minutes and I need some of the bags anyway.

My dream was better 1950's speakers. What I seem to have is 1950's speakers. I must persist as I can borrow some amps and active crossovers when the time is right.

With Einstein I guess the bees were like E=mcc. The formular looks too simple to be useful. It is crazy it works! My friend John who has the active crossover says just remember cc= 10 power 17 to a good approximation. I love Elephants, the trunk not at all like you would think. Sri Lanka is a great place to see them.

The simple question is. Humans or any animal to get started needs a cluster. My best guess is a virus caused many primates to have mutated hairless babies. The mothering instinct might be enough to form a new group. This would have been repeated in all animals many times. This hairless one had the brain power to invent clothes. If not it would have died out quickly. If I am right this was a one off event that " should " have vanished in a few generations.

Like my OB speaker idea it is a very simple one. I am surprised with all the things 7 billion people talk about no one says this. If you think about it evolvution as taught is a bit daft. It has bits that to me look like alchemy.

The other day I was talking about care of the smallest creatures. Everyone got that. This one is a step further. If you like when a hi fi lover wants to know how the DNA works. We are so lucky with hi fi. We can fiddle with the DNA be it transistors or whatever and get results which usually if we are honest were not worth the effort. Evolution in hi fi is understood and is why we are here talking or taking positions. There is no downside except wasting time. With me money never is an issue. I never spend any.

BTW. I was very honered to be with you guys. You all seem to care about animals and seem to have an identical way of putting it. Make no mistake I have been a farmer and have killed what I eat. I still dislike anyone who hurts animals for pleasure.

Well that is the out of Africa theory and the last 50 years paleontology out the window. The loss of hair in humans is completely compatible with Darwinism and the climatic data we have for that period. Hint: Africa is hot and dry.

The amazing parts of life on this planet are things like mitocondria or the viral DNA splice that allowed live birth to evolve without the maternal immune system killing the baby. And the ATP cycle is so completely screwy that no one would have designed it that way.
