I recently installed Basta! simulation software in my PC. The first driver for this nice tool is a Peerless full-range driver, P830968. Impedance and TS parameters are obtained by REW. Added mass (2 g) was used in extracting TS parameters.

Near-field and far-field were used to measure frequency response. Again, REW was used. The two responses are blended by an excel file developed by C. Laub and J. Bagby.

Simulated response and measured response will be compared. I will post my results in the following posts. Please correct me if you see something wrong.

Impedance measured by REW and TS parameter window are shown below. The impedance figure contains air-free and added mass impedance curves. Added mass for Fs changed not less than 25 % (lower) is needed.

The port of the box is sealed as shown in another picture.

Driver tab, Box tab and baffle layout in Basta are shown below.

Blended response of near and far-field measurements is imported to Basta for comparing with the simulated response. As can be seen, Basta simulated response agrees with measurement very well.

Note driving signal level in measurement was not set to 2.83V or 1W.
