Complete silver metal case for VSSA+SMPS400A180 would come closely to 260 EUR + packaging + shipment costs.
Great! Put me down for 4 cases.
Also, I will take 2 VSSA PCBs, if there are still some left.
Thanks
I saw those cases from Lazy cat: amazing work, and worth the every cent. I was browsing over net some time, and didn't find anything even close to that.
I agree. It is very difficult to find decent DIY amplifier cases. Not to mention that the enclosure LC is offering will prevent from the hassle of tapping holes in the heatsinks. And it looks really nice!

Guys I'm giving a pair of my boards. I have them packed and untouched, exactly as sent by LC. If anyone is interested you can find details here: http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/swap...egato-sshv-tube-i-zator-tubes-capacitors.html
It was fun reading while it lasted... almost like watching election year debates in the US...But, be prudent, it seems we are not allowed to talk about CFAs any more in this, hum, forum:

Seriously, I am looking forward to some new builds and reports too...
This post for member "PMI" others to comment of course if any input, and is concerning his fluctuation/drift referenced in posts #2211 until 2221, and 2218, 2641, 2646, 2649, 2650, 2661, 2675. Hi Pete is it possible that the three screws going through the devices could be more or less magnetic dependant on manufacture brand. Could be tried with stainless stell or brass for non magnetic types. My thoughts are here that the electric field around the devices could easyer be transfered to board level components if magnetic ?
PS I stole this picture of your VSSA at the PeeCeeBee thread.
@BYRTT: It is a mechanical problem. Sorry I wasted your time...
I normally check for this any time some reading seems "jumpy", but I did not do so this time, probably because the adjustment is already so sensitive to a small fraction of a turn. And, when you exclude the sensitivity, it now seems confined to one channel. When I tap the heatsink on one side of the chassis, or the edge of the module, the reading changes, although not necessarily immediately like you might expect from cold solder-joint, or broken wire.
When I am done playing around, I am just going to seal the screws with a drop of lacquer, and then leave it alone.
Perhaps I damaged the screw, who knows... I remember it seemed like a really tight fit, with the meter probes etc, and my little tweaker thingy kept slipping, so I had to use a tiny screwdriver (in restrospect, not recommended to do it this way).
MAy-be you could do the following: Isolate the Boards from the heat sink ground, by using Canon isolators between the VAS screws and the board ground.@BYRTT: It is a mechanical problem.
Verify Power device good isolation. Provide a good ground connection between Heat sink and chassis ground.
My boards were isolated from the beginning, using standard M3 shoulder washers, and the ground was always a single-point ground. The original ground scheme which was made for dual supplies was not ideal for my single supply, because there was no easy way to break the loops. The chassis (earth) and the power ground are connected through a 20R-5W, although not really visible in the pics. The ground lifter on the modules works well in my case, so it is not bypassed. Diode mod will be done in a week or two, when I install a bigger transformer, and switch to a higher voltage supply rail.MAy-be you could do the following: Isolate the Boards from the heat sink ground, by using Canon isolators between the VAS screws and the board ground.

Resistance to ground between all parts was checked when assembled. I posted pics of the chassis earlier, reposting w. more detail below.
I think we can close this as an issue, I appreciate all the suggestions received, thanks!!!

Thanks Pete time not wasted, problem solved and glad to share knowlegde for small detail/error not degrading a build, force of this site joining members experience.@BYRTT: It is a mechanical problem. Sorry I wasted your time... .....
So true, nevertheless, thank you for all your time, and the helpful diagrams, and reference links! I am sure I do not speak just for myself...Thanks Pete time not wasted, problem solved and glad to share knowlegde for small detail/error not degrading a build, force of this site joining members experience.
Yes, I did... I don't use as much as some people, so you do not see it around the edges much.PMI, just an idea, did-you put thermal grease between VAS trannies and heat sink ?
Sounds like a business opportunity to me...Near all the numerous shops in Paris, where we could buy electronics components, made bankrupt.
Now, what a pain to find them on Internet, Mouser, Farnell and so on, and how expensive they are !

I cannot imagine the price of a DIY PC mother board by such sources !!!!
Mouser/ Farnell are more expensive than physical shops? Really?!
I've been to Greece, Finland and Netherlands and at all these places physical shops are way more expensive than Farnell/Mouser. I mean more than double the prices.
Don't know, they are closed since 15 years, at least...Mouser/ Farnell are more expensive than physical shops? Really?!
I just ordered few things, caps etc... and feel i've been beat.
