Agree with ZM.....
Thorens TTs [ and many others] and - especially the nasty arms they came with, were just bland sounding with not much good to recommend them.
Any other contenders for 'nasty, very expensive vintage components???

I'm sure that there iz some sort of resonance damping involved with the rubber band. I wonder how long it might take to adjust things az to size of band and number of wraps tho.
Well - I have heard of some tricks that can be done with rubber bands....
