Ricardo, do you use a pair of SSLV 1.2R even in this project?
I read you are going to build a SSLV 1.1, are you going to compare that shunt reg vs the 1.2R?

P.S. 2k2 in lieu of 1.8K (R11) ?

P.P.S. Happy new Year!
Hi Massimo

I tend to use V12R in all my builds... IMO it is the best (The Optimae was even better "had magic properties" but was too prone to oscilating)

Off course I did not try all options of the SSLV 1.1 so I can not comment.

I will delete Q5, I will use C2=15.2nF, R2,R3=3R, R6 3M3, R10 6.4K, R8 43R, R11 1.2K, R12 trimmer arrangement like in the folded pdf.

In my humble opinion to don't worry about the best and easy solution is to buy a BiB in the Tea-Bag GB.

Thanks, George. The reason I ask is that I also ordered a stack of 2SK170s from the Internet and was wondering if they were genuine (the seller said they were Toshiba). Idss measures what they should be (around 6ma) - so I guess I can assume they are "real"? :)

Regards,

Andy

Around 6mA should be GR type. If they have the right IDSS chances are they are real. Better buy from Spencer, a member here, to be sure.
