Just found other great Russian tube amp manufacturer:
SPbSound
The output tubes range from 300B, GM70 and even the big 833, the amps sport a nice construction look with fully hand wiring solder and big capacitors.
But what call my attention are his impressive OPTs, which use 2 or 3 secondary windings.

They even publish a schema:

The 833 amp:

To reduce my ignorance on this subject, I wish ask yours opinions on these OPTs??
Any reason the sound quality could be bad etc ??
Any chance the two secondary windings would substitute a crossover in a two way loudspeaker??
Thanks for your input

Hi,
No, but they might be used to drive each driver in a 2 way separately
e.g. using the low winding for the tweeter instead of attenuation.
Still need crossover components though.
rgds, sreten.
Not sure if I understand all the implications that your ideia present.the HIGH and LOW secondaries can mean that connecting speakers to the LO reflects low impedance to the OPT primary and vice versa, just a guess....
I was suppose the Hi & Low secondaries outputs are intend to connect the woofer and the tweeter.
But now Iam in doubt...
High and Low almost certainly mean high or low impedance matching e.g. 4 or 16 ohms (or 8 and 16). If so, connecting a given speaker load to the Low winding will present a higher impedance to the valve than if you use the High winding.
Wiring the two secondaries in series will give an Extra High connection. Nothing whatsoever to do with crossovers or high and low frequencies.
