Simplistic MosFET HV Shunt Regs

holliday fun

Hi,

Impressive reading, 2,4 k posts on one subject is what I need to melt all the holliday food:up:

I have som 26s at home, waiting for justification, hence I just did some Mousering/ebaying so maybe i can contribute to break the 3 k wall. Kudos, Salas, V-George and all:wiz:.

Tea-Bag, maybe a stereoversion w one mirrored?

Best regards and a happy 2012!

Maybe you have a 10-15mA application for the nice small one you built? Its a nice looking board. Happy new year to you and to everybody.:)

Hi Salas

Before there is GB for SSHV2, I would like to modify my SSHV1 for my phono pre with large hintsink for the MOSFET. Can you suggest which component(s) should be change for my application (300V 55+20mA)? Thanks.

You have to lower R1 until the voltage across it divided by its value is going to indicate ~70mA. Before that you will have to change your IRF840 heatsink to 2C/W type, your 9610 sink to 4W/C type. Also your 2SK147 fet due to high transcoductance ~40mS is more prone to drift in that hot environment. Try to put a 2SK117GR or 2SK170BL in its place.

Thanks Salas. Will do the modification in this week and let you know the result.
