Yes. Fran I don't think the pole worked...
Tony.
How about the zero?
He might have been referring to the pole carrying his telephone wire.
I'm not certain this is a sensible question. Almost everyone, apart from the loony fringe on both sides, will vote yes but this does not mean that they all agree. So in a few days time we can say that 97% (or whatever) believe that both listening and measuring are important so this is the end of the debate? I have decided not to vote.

Wladislaw?
I don't know. Telegraph poles here in the UK don't carry names (Polish or otherwise).
I'm pleased to see that our new moderator has just realised why we are pulling his leg. I was a bit concerned before his edit to post #6 - surely moderators have to have a HUGE sense of humour in order to cope with us lot?

10 yes and 0 no. good sign
Tony.
I wouldn't worry about Tony- we've been toughening his ego by repeated beatings.
A better question might be can it be done using ears only, not should it be. Not easily IMO.
would also be a 'daft' question
I mean, it would have very little 'reason'
but you might better ask, 'using measurements only
that might be a little less predetermined
but again, I think it would be strange to design a speaker without listening to it

- Should a designer/builder use both measurements and listening when building?
