Yet another Volume controlers and source selections

... chiily does not know that firmware was write by me and I think he does not read the whole thread from the beginning ...

Oh I read the whole thread, maybe not in too much detail, too busy building the board :)

Yeah, FarmTech has your name displayed on the lCD on board start up.

I just need to get the board installed in a box with pre-amp.

Cheers

i cannont connect any device and play FM radio. when it plays static of non tuned radio goes. and if i touch avr when radio is connected i get very very bad statc,
but
if i play mp3 or disc man cd player , or a mp3 player there are no problems with it

Hmm , I dont have any problems with a normal FM radio
I even have a I2C radio board on pcb (AR1010) (TEA5767 radio chip)
even weak radio stations comes in ok no MCU noice
but I have a 0.002V 50 hz hum but its ok , I can only hear it if I pump up volumt to full and no input connectet

Can you take a picture of you build so we can see how it is connectet in the case ?

YES I WILL , currenly down ith some fever give a few days, once i m up and running i will post my picture.

but i have not changed anthing in the box exect the cpu card which goes behind the 16X2 large LCD, like a size to size pigiback/

will post the image shortly and some pcb layout pics

do you ahve the firm wor that radio, coz i have that card from my chinese mp3 players and i wanted to use it.. if possible could you intergrate it with pga2310 software

I have made some code for the AR1010 modul
but only for the M16 Danzup R2R (Farmtech) EQ 2 RADIO
Still running test on this firmware .

Will make a version for PGA2310 later (when i get more freee time)

hi
i m posting the pics of the assembled amp, i know too many wires but this was the case when i was using th pic18F452 and elektors program in it, and i could listen to radio with out issue

My take on this volume controller, completed 80% but its already working great

It's attached after a NOS DAC + JBoz kinda line amp.
I plan to add in the future a B1 buffer after the controller to have lower the output impendace.

Of course there is a lot of work on the case yet. I want to paint it black and to add nice wood front and back panels. Lets see what wood my carpenter friend recommends.

Cheers!

p.s. @FarmTech: I found some bugs with the volume controller software, I will create an error list and send it to you, hope you can fix them

Two bugs, both related to direct select buttons:
1. Cannot switch to input 4 (Aux) using direct select button (I believe this was signaled by others)
2. If I switch back to 1st input (CD) using the direct select button then Power Off and input selector (Ch+) are not responding (Mute and Vol+/Vol- are OK); If I go to 1st CD input with Ch- then everything is fine. Resolution: I have to use another direct select button (DVD or Tuner) to have Power Off and Ch+ working.

Not big issues but sometimes annoying.

later edit: wish list:
In my opinion it would be better to have Power On/Off and Mute use every second/third volume step. Maybe a dedicated config menu item to setup this.

Thanks!
Zsolt

Yes ths I found myself Direct select input 3 & 4 have same address on port

2. I cant get mine to do this error it works fine after power off and then Ch+
but will check code to see if there is a problem
Note some Remote have power On/Off working as Power OFF cmd then next time you push it it send 1 same as direct input select 1 , the one I use do this anyway
I made a smal program to test remote you can see the commands in this program just look for it here in this thread back to about page 38 I think

Did you add your remote via setup new remote menu ?

I will make a update of the files later m at the moment I have to many things to do before I get to this,

hii did you see the images i sent to you in the mail

Hi, Yes just got time to study them , but you write you will make a smal schematic , thats was what I was wating for

Main board AVR , clean the soildering up this can only make it better ,
check that your relay for RADIO is working ok (connect radio on other input for test)

You have alot of wires OMG , never seen one like this :)

Today I got post from Texas instruments PGA2311UA (smd) +-5V version
you use (PGA2310 +-12V)

so I will build a full controller board with the PGA2311 on same PCB as AVR
hope its done soon

yes i know the wiring its a bit just tooo much , i plan to reduce it but i m not getting time to make a sexy pcb, for it. such that i would have all the regulator ic , power amp chip, and pga2311A and also a 3 on one RCA jack, but then only issue that makes me make differnt boards is , cabinet fabrication, as i have access to ready made cabs of 3"h 12" w 8"D , so then cutting lcd cut out, making holes for rca sockets , is a bit tooo much ( some times a bit lazy as i have to go out and get it done, )
