Yes, it is flat if electronic devices are linear.
Different models work in different conditions. No one model exist that answer all questions, nor is convenient in all situations. For example, when you and your neighbor measure and mark a line to divide the land, do you use equations that include roundness of the Earth?
The same way, both geocentric and heliocentric models work, and each of them is convenient for different purposes.
Also, you probably did not think of precession!
By the way, ancient people knew well about precession, and observed it carefully!
Why?
Because they did not have cellphones to measure time (assume 30 years ago somebody asking, "What time is it now? I forgot my telephone at home!"), and they did not measure time in order to come to meetings about global warming in time. They measured time by astronomy, and the meaning of measurement was needed to adjust to environment... That's why they had so sophisticated knowledge about astronomy and weather changes. Because they did not have cellphones nor meetings. Actually, they had meetings, but used bells on towers to broadcast the time.

If you make claims or propound a hypothesis provide evidence that that is falsifiable and can be repeated.
If those claims hold up under scrutiny - I will change my mind.
Skepticism just means one thing: convince me with evidence.
There is no bias. There is an suspension of judgment until a hypothesis can be falsified or not. If it cannot be falsified that still means only one thing: at present the hypothesis is not supported, the odds are in favour of rejecting it at present with the possibility of further investigation at a later date.
Atheism works on the same principle - show me any testable evidence that a supernatural being is needed to explain any physical phenomenon and I will change my mind.
Old texts are not evidence.

I've often thought about a science fiction story where mathematicians who were studying calculational algorithms for transcendental numbers suddenly found a long sequence of ones and zero that spelled out, "No kidding, I created the universe." Would that be taken as proof of a sentient creator? Or would that be taken as proof that in an infinite sequence, EVERY possible combination will eventually occur?
Nice novel. Awful movie. Jodie Foster didn't get naked, which would have saved it.
Not the same concept exactly, but this did remind me of Athur C. Clarke's sory "The nine-billion names of god", in which Tibetan monks finally succeed in computing all the possible names of god, and hence --- well I won't spoil it for those who might still want to read it.
