It seems to me is orig. but it sound different than the older brown/gold .

Thanks

Dear sir,

We feel bad that someone suspect the quality. We
will measure the tangent loss and publish the
result next week.

Best Regards,

These are not fake capacitors

Luke you right !

I did my part , also I left positive feedback to jims-audio .
He is a nice guy , he help me to get the right answer , I already posted but I post it again !! PLEASE READ THE ATTACH...
It has somehow different sound than the brown/gold but that is not jims-audio fault.
Right now it has much better mid range , detailed , more natural and better highs.
If the bass get improved by burning in probably will be better than the brown/gold Silmic .

Please read it before you go further !!!!

Hi.Is it description of Elna factory? Thanks

These are the silmic's that I bought from Digikey recently. I can't say anything on their sonic benefits yet as the project has not been completed. But their values are spectacularly accurate. Of the 6 caps that I've measured and soldered on the PCB, all gave a stunning exact 220 uF on my Fluke 189. ;)

Hello
The black sound sweet and more transparent com pare to the brown. Probably in the mid and top area it sound better than the red Black gate or any exotic caps.
But I say these after less than 10 hours use . Burn in 100 hours after Elna ...
Brown has more bass , stronger and deeper . Like the old Silmic . A bit dry mid and top .
Both capacitor is good .
Now I have all three type Silmic
Black/ gold
Brown/gold
Brown/white
Greetings

Hello
You right , Elna just started to produce Slimic in black sleeve from these year .
Read the next web site, read it all please !!!;)

Hello
Parts Connexion also has 100V Silmic II but it cost twice as much than the 63V .
I have some parts back order from Parts Connexion .... I will see , may be I will order 4 piece .
The black Silmic what I just purchased very nice , but I used to it to the brown Silmic II strong bass .
You know Nichicon Fine Gold also offer great bass .
I have at hand that to . (more tests )
I use these my NCC200 clone .
50V Silmic II I have 20piece .. I want to go with a bigger transformer 39VAC.
I don't know nothing about Tonerex:confused:
The basic Elna I don't like it at all ..
I used to use Elna Cerafine the red sleeve , no longer available just in black but the quality is not the same .
You know when I'm satisfied with the sound of my amp and 2 capacitor mess it up .. I feel like I have to start all over again !
And these burn in time (100 hours) just make it more difficult .

Hello

I do not want more voltage .
I have a better quality transformer with more power I want to use that .
Unfortunately 39-0-39V , right now my test transformer 30-0-30V but not the best quality .
I know the 39V will be a bit to much but I don't turn up the volume more than 10-15W max.
Also MJL4281A can take a lot of heat :p. I'm just kidding , the bias max 40mA:) .
Mostly I'm listening Jazz, Classical , Gospel, Instrumental so on .
I go after the quality not the higher power.
I have at home 10uF Tonerex , (old one from a dead DVD player) may be I will com pare with the Black G NP on the input .

Good morning Gaborbela(Here is morning :) )
Why not use mkp capacitor at the input? I have a denon pma495r amp.I moded it.I replaced njm opamp with lm4562 and tonerex input capacitors with a mundorf mkp capacitor. The sound improved a lot.Bass and treble. Also clarity. All of them improved.I recommend you.A normal mkp is better than the best electrolytic capacitor at signal path IMHO.
