It seems amusing that the photos of the Semelab Mosfet packages on the Magnatec websitehave the part number used by Class D
Class-D Design Ltd.
According to Semelab these parts are 8 amps per die.
Class D rate their mosfets at 12A per die!
As far as I know, these parts are not exactly the same as the Magnatec BUZ / Exicon Mosfets. They have made some minor changes to the die construction.
I would be very interested to know if anyone has managed to construct a high power amplifier, Say 500w RMS 4 Ohm +, using multiple semelab lateral mosfet output stages, that was reliable, and did not suffer from component failure.

but for that price would it be too much to ask for data sheet and some documentation on the cauldron technology?
You will find the subjective effects far outweigh any objective, measured benefits......

I think these are the self same mosfets. Are these the special Magnatec AnthonyHolton advertised intensively about while working with Class-D Design
And suddenly had to do without, after the split
As for Mr Holtons opinion on them, all I can say is Ask him!
If you click on the component name hyperlink you get a reasonable spec sheet
Example
http://www.semelab.com/pdf/magnatec/ALF08N16V ALF08N20V.pdf
Point taken - No actual performance graphsXoc1,
you call that a reasonable spec sheet?
URL is dead. The so called AlFet (replacement for the older EXICON's) from Magnatec/Semelab obviously no longer available.Magnatec. ALFET Lateral MOSFETs

Are there successors ? Maybe this one ? go to
ECX10N20 Plastic Lateral MOSFET | Profusion
ECX10P20 Plastic Lateral MOSFET | Profusion
No TO-3 outline, only TO247.
