What other kits do you have? Can you share pics /specs? I liked kit 2 with 4" full range driver. I have 3.5w/channel 8ohms mini tube amp so I'm looking for nice big cabinet but hi sensitivity full range driver, to be used in my office/near field application

Hello,

The sensitivity of Markaudio full range drivers is not high. For working with your 3.5w/channel mini tube amp, it is OK to drive 4" full range drivers like CHR-70.3 and Alpair 7.3, but need to turn the volume to high. I recommend Kit 2 and Alpair 7.3 bookshelf, see the pictures.

For higher efficient full range drivers, you may consider Fostex FE126En (SPL: 93dB).

The price of Kit of Alpair 7.3 bookshelf can go at USD180/pair+shipping.
The price of Kit of FE126En bookshelf is USD160/pair+shipping.

The shipping cost to US is USD130.

Just out of curiosity, you don't carry any comparable sized cabinets (for the fostex driver) that have a folded horn enclosure do you? If no, what would it cost to special order one? Also do you take PayPal?

I have received Kit3. Dimensions are smaller than I expected but the sounds are so much bigger than it looks. Beautifully made and definitely a step above the last kit I bought from you! Thanks again!

As what you have mentioned, its perfect for a bedroom system especially for my late night listening when I'm tired of headphones. I really like it and the size fits perfectly.

The sound of Alpair 6M is musical with warmth and smoothness. The bass of the small full range driver makes me surprised.

For the construction and dimension of the back loaded horn+bass reflex enclosure of FE126En (180Wx345Dx600Hmm) and weight of the enclosure, the production cost and shipping cost are higher than my simple BR bookshelf cabinets for Fostex and Markaudio.
