Having designed and maked EL84 push pull amplifier, we developed a new 6V6 push pull class AB amplifier. Since the ratings and charactistics for EL84 and 6V6 are similar, so when bulid EL84 or 6V6 push pull amps, can use same power transformer and output transformers. The input stage is a single 12AX7/ECC83 which is a very common twin triode as voltage amplifying stage. We use a pair classic low noise pentode, EF86 on the phase inversion stage.

As the output stage of the 6V6 amplifier operated in class AB, We made cathode bias circuit and the bias of 6V6 is automatically adjusted with the change of plate voltage of 6V6 and no need to adjust the bias of 6V6.

We specially selected Raphaelite 10K push pull output transformers for this 6V6 push pull amplifier. Raphaelite's factory is located in Tianjin, China. They make and supply high quality parts, components and chassis for tube amplifers. It is our pleasure to use Raphaelite transformers in our tube amps. The quality of the transformers is good.

Specification of OP10K15AB output transformers:
Output power: 15W
Primary Impedance: 10K, 85MA
Secondary Impedance: 4 & 8 ohms
Insulation Intensity: 75MΩ DC2000V/1 min
Core Size: 25.4mm x 40mm
Frequency Range: 30Hz-30KHz (-0.5dB), 20Hz-40KHz (-1dB)
N.W.: 1.6 KG/pc

The power transformer is also made by Raphaelite. It is 200W power with output voltage at 285V-265V-0-265V-285V/258mA. We use 265V on 6V6. The strong and heavy power transformer has 4 KG in net weight.
