We now have our first new tube amplifier in May, a desktop tube amplifier. The circuit is 6V6 class A single end with EF95 pentode tube in triode connection as voltage amplification. 6V6 or 6V6GT is working in pentode connection with the output power 4.5W. The style of this amplifier is elegant with compact size in 285W x 265D x 150H mm. Other features include funiture quality oakwood chassis and net weight 6.5 KG only.

The amplifier can be put on desk or other places and work in small audio system. It is good for listening music in small area like reading room and sitting room...

These are the 3 classic Chinese tubes on the amp. The small tube in the front is Beijing 6J1 (1978) which is same as EF95/5654/6AK5. The smoked glass bottle tube is Shuguang 6P6P (1989) which is same as 6V6GT. The rectifier is Nanjing 5Z2P (1974) which is similar to 5Y3.

Peking electron tube factory is one of largest tube manufacturer in government base in China. The most of their tubes are for military use with fine quality. The factory was already closed in 1980s. The well-known Peking tubes including 6N4(12AX7), 6N3(5670), 6J1(EF95), 6P14(EL84), etc. are still being used and kept by audiophiles.

Cheers.

This time, we try to simplify the speaker outputs for this small amp as the space is very limited. The white binding post in the middle is 0 and shared by the both channels. There are 4 and 8 ohms for each channel.
