Solid state guy found some tubes...

Recently I moved and found four old tubes when I was sorting the components...

2 x ECC82
1 x E88CC
1 x 12B4A

Up to now I've only built solid state circuits... No idea if these tubes are any good.

But I always found those nice glowing things fascinating... I think I'll give it a try... Just to play with them and learn as I'm satisfied with my current system.

Are there any simple tube audio circuits using only the tubes I already have?

Doesn't matter really whether it is a line stage, mic preamp, power amp...

"You could build at least a little preamp with those tubes....you will then be a total tube addict an before you realise you will have used your entire stash..."

You never know :)

I sold a very old Tektronix oscilloscope a year ago... $60, for about 120 tubes... All still working... Now that I've seen what you guys are building, I think I was a BIG idiot - I should have kept them.

Anyway, you suggest a preamp, can you point me in some direction where to find schematics or webpages with projects? Thank you very much.
