Day, you made my day with that amp there are just NOT enough big octal tubes hanging around these days in amps =)
Btw I love the woodwork, just my style.

Is that your main abode or just your listening room?

Man,
i just feel myself sitting there.
Still the taste of coco, lemon grass and nam plah on my lips.
Just relaxing, my tummy pleased, on a nice comfy chair.
Enjoying the glow of them tubes and the smooth finish of the wood, listening to the sound the combo's produce.
Who knows, heaven may be in Thailand.
Nice work, Jay Day.

Are you sure you used large enough screws to hold the chassis together?
Looks good for a first effort.

I used a piece of zinc (yeah - I know) for the chassis & it was too flexible once I mounted the xformers. Being the bodger that I am, I bolted 2 struts of steel underneath! Actually the mounting bolts gave me somewhere to add a PC board ground bus bar which has been pretty effective since this baby is oh-so quiet.
